Greetings ~

As we enter the Lenten season in Liturgical Year C, we are invited into a sacred time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Lent is a season of preparation, calling us to journey with Christ through the wilderness, to the cross, and ultimately to the joy of resurrection. It is a time
to examine our hearts, deepen our prayer life, and embrace the transformative power of God’s
grace.

During this season, our Gospel readings continue to come from the Gospel of Luke. Luke’s
account of Jesus’ ministry emphasizes compassion, inclusion, and the call to discipleship.
Through parables such as the Prodigal Son and the Good Samaritan, we are reminded of God’s
boundless mercy and our responsibility to extend that same love to others. Luke challenges us
to live out our faith with sincerity, generosity, and justice.

As we journey together through Lent, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection
on the Gospel of Luke. May its words inspire you to draw nearer to God, embrace a spirit of
humility, and become instruments of love and reconciliation in the world.

We look forward to worshiping with you as we walk this Lenten path together, anticipating the
hope and renewal of Easter.

Blessings,
Pastor James
